Lecturer in Environmental History
School of History, Archaeology and Religion
The School of History, Archaeology and Religion wishes to appoint a full-time lecturer in Environmental History. You will possess a record or potential for excellence in research in environmental history and evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate level. Scholars with expertise in the post-1750 period are encouraged to apply.
The School is a dynamic and friendly department with an international reputation in research and teaching. Within the School, you will contribute to the continued development of the School’s teaching in environmental history, including teaching on a second-year module Environmental Histories. You will also be expected to contribute to History’s jointly-taught core modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In addition to teaching, you will act as a personal tutor to students, engage in scholarly research and publication, and participate in administration at a departmental and / or School level as required. You will be provided with office space as well as access to funding for conferences / research travel.
This post is full-time and open-ended, with an anticipated start date of the 1 January 2023.
Salary: £35,333 – £42,155 per annum (Grade 6)
