About the Role
The School of Geography is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Economic Geography (fixed term for 8 months, 1 January 2023–31 August 2023). The appointee will make a range of contributions to the School’s educational programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including convening our first year module ‘Cities and Regions in Transition’ and contributing to Masters’ teaching. They will also serve as an Advisor to students and supervise dissertation work.
About You
The successful candidate will have been awarded a PhD (or equivalent) in Geography or a related discipline. They will have teaching experience appropriate to their career stage, and passion and commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience to a diverse student population at both undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels.

The post is full time and will be based at our Mile End campus. The starting salary will be £44,931 – £47,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. The successful candidate will need to be available to take up the post on 1 January 2023.
