About the Role
The School is seeking to appoint two Lecturers in Data Science to oversee development, implementation and delivery of the School’s new Data Science Degree Apprenticeship programme.
The Lecturers will contribute to the intellectual life of the School and wider institution. They will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of education activities in the subject areas of Physics and Astronomy and/or Data Science.
About You
You must have experience of curriculum development and teaching and assessment delivery at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with (or working towards) a PhD in Physics, Astronomy, Data Science (or related fields) or equivalent professional experience.

The School forms one of five within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and consists of two distinct research departments delivering world-leading research and high-class teaching: Chemistry and Physics and Astronomy.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of January 2023 or soon after. The starting salary will be Grade 5/6, in the range of £44,931 up to £55,805 for exceptional performance and experience per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
