Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy Practice

FTE: 0.7 FTE (working 25.9 hours per week)

Duration of Contract: Permanent

Salary: UH7 £35,333 pro rata pa to £42,155 pro rata pa depending on skills and experience

Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield

Main duties and responsibilities

You will contribute to the delivery of core modules that underpin the portfolio of programmes within the Department of Clinical, Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences.

The successful applicant will be leading on one or more clinical modules as part of the postgraduate clinical pharmacy practice programmes. contributing to the design and delivery of postgraduate pharmacy practice modules and programmes, including blended learning initiatives.  You will undertake the role of personal tutor for postgraduate students and act as a project supervisor for the postgraduate programmes, The successful applicant will also contribute to programme reviews and the accreditation of courses, quality assurance and enhancement processes as well as contributing to the School’s research strategy through the development of research objectives, projects and proposals, writing or contributing to publications and dissemination of research findings.

Skills and experience required

The successful applicant will have proven experience of successfully delivering education and training to postgraduates of various healthcare professions as well as proven experience of tutoring and mentoring post-registration pharmacists.  You will also have proven experience of undertaking research/audit and using the results to improve service provision as well as experience of collaborative working in multidisciplinary settings.  You will have up-to-date clinical awareness as well as knowledge of key educational theories, learning styles, and concepts in work-based learning and assessment.

Qualifications required

You will have as a minimum an Undergraduate degree (or equivalent level qualification) in Pharmacy and will be registered with the GPhC.  A postgraduate level qualification would be desirable.
