The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Lecturer or Assistant/Associate/Professor-in-Residence/Director of Clinical Operations, School of Nursing [R0133280]
ROLE of the POSITION
This is a search for a Non-Tenure Track Lecturer or Assistant/Associate/Professor-in Residence that will also serve as the Director of Clinical Operations within the School of Nursing. This person will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating all processes, systems, priorities and activities associated with clinical placement of undergraduate and graduate students of the School of Nursing. The Director oversees both undergraduate and graduate clinical placement, and will lead clinical adjunct faculty and preceptor recruitment efforts for the School. The Director of Clinical Operations will provide the vision and leadership for student placement to meet the challenges presented by growing competition for student placements from other local nursing and health professional schools. The Director of Clinical Operations works with the Associate Deans, Program Leads, Course Coordinators and Clinical faculty as appropriate
for the task.

This person may also be required to teach courses. Primary responsibility for teaching would be (1) teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise; (2) collaborate with other faculty in course development; (3) use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning; (4) provide student supervision; (5) participate in school, university, professional and community service activities. Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year-round, using a trimester sequence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The individual must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing to qualify as a Lecturer or a Doctorate Degree in Nursing to qualify as an Assistant/Associate/Professor-in-Residence. The individual must also hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license and if selected applicant is subject to a one-time background check. Faculty rank will be dependent upon educational credentials, terminal degree and experience. They must also have the following education and experience:
