The UCL Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL) is the UK’s largest university-based centre for research, teaching, development and innovation in educational leadership. Located in the UCL Institute of Education, we are a world-leading centre for knowledge creation, exchange and application to promote high quality leadership, management and learning in education in London, the UK, and internationally. We provide research-informed advice and guidance for educational leaders, managers and policy makers, focused on the impact of their strategies and actions. You will contribute excellent teaching, and leadership of teaching; outstanding research and enterprise; and a full contribution as an academic in the CEL and DLL, and to the wider IOE and UCL and have a sustained research and publication record in the broad field of educational leadership and improvement.
You will hold a Doctorate in an area relevant to CEL’s work in educational leadership and change, school improvement and/or school effectiveness or equivalent relevant experience/qualification along with a track record of internationally excellent independent, original, significant and rigorous research contributions.
Specialist knowledge in institutional and educational leadership development beyond the school sector is desirable.
