Job Summary:

The Lecturer will be teaching at the La Follette School of Public Affairs for the 2023 spring semester. There is a possibility that the position would be extended in the future.
The position involves teaching undergraduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the La Follette School’s programming and holding regular office hours. More specifically, the duties include teaching our PA 200 course, Contemporary Public Policy Issues, in Spring 2023.

Responsibilities: Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
  • 80% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
  • 10% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $43,388 ACADEMIC (9 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Additional Information:

There is a possibility this position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of the courses listed on this PVL, or similar courses within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.
