Position Information

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Department of Geography is a research and teaching department in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Position Summary The department of Geography seeks an instructor to teach three courses in Spring Semester, 2023. The successful candidate must have experience – and a successful track-record – of teaching large-format introductory courses in geography in two areas: Word Regional Geography and Human Geography. The instructor must also have demonstrated experience teaching an advanced-level global urban geography course. A PhD in Geography is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have had recent teaching experience at UNC.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Ph.D. in Geography.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prior experience teaching advanced undergraduate courses at UNC-CH.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements Expertise in World Regional, Urban, and Human Geography.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Not Applicable.
