Lecturer

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to join the vibrant and supportive team in the School of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sheffield (www.sheffield.ac.uk/dentalschool ). Our ideal candidate will be a talented and enthusiastic team member ready to support the delivery of undergraduate teaching and postgraduate programmes and conduct internationally competitive research including high-quality PGR supervision. 

You will complement and enhance the research strategy of the department (www.sheffield.ac.uk/dentalschool/research)  and wider university. Applicants are encouraged to consider how their personal research will be integrated into School priorities and themes, in particular related to Mechanisms of Health & Disease.  You will also play a key role in delivering and enhancing our highly regarded undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, including our BSc in Bio-dental Science and Technology and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) (www.sheffield.ac.uk/dentalschool/undergraduate/undergraduate-courses ) and MSc in Dental Materials Science. We particularly encourage applications from those able to contribute to the teaching of biomaterials science, specifically dental materials, and tissue engineering.

The position will be based in the School of Clinical Dentistry, a world-leading interdisciplinary centre for oral and dental research with a focus on translating research for patient benefit. The School hosts a vibrant postgraduate research community, and has strong links to centres of research excellence across The University of Sheffield, providing access to state-of-the-art imaging, molecular biology, microbiology, materials, bioinformatics and biological services facilities.
