Job Description:
The Learning Program Specialist position is uniquely designed for someone who wishes to be a part of all aspects of talent development. In this position, the incumbent assists with the design, development and or enhancement of a variety of instructor-led and eLearning courses, materials and job aids. This role also assists with executing the overall training communication plan including drafting and editing course descriptions, advertisements, and creating marketing and content materials along with maintaining the Talent Development website.
The incumbent serves as a key administrator of the learning management system (LMS), helping to conduct biannual system updates, testing new functionality, reporting features and training end users and learning providers. The position also gathers and analyzes data that are clear and actionable as part of the department’s annual learning report along with other ad hoc reporting.
The Learning Program Specialist inputs digital and blended offerings in the LMS and answers end user inquiries via an electronic ticketing system, bringing issues to resolution or elevating them as necessary. The position also drafts and maintains the overall program schedule of offerings, curates vendor eLearning and assists in leading LMS and other related projects.
