Lead developer and system architect for full quantum computer software stack

Your Job:

• Lead, together with scientists, the development of a full software stack for a quantum computer
• Lead and advise on high-level software design and architectural decisions
• Develop and implement procedures for the software development life cycle, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code, and documentation
• Provide technical supervision for the software development of colleagues and scientists
• Interface with scientists and engineers inside and outside our team

Your Profile:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field
• In-depth experience with software design and collaborative development, particularly with Python
• Experience with cloud systems, distributed and client / server architectures
• Knowledge on real-time data processing, storage, visualization, and analysis using web-based data applications (for example Elastic, Kibana)
• Excited about working in a fast-paced academic research environment with multiple scientific activities running in parallel
• Excellent communication skills, ability to speak and write fluently in English
• Background in (quantum) physics, or FPGA programming is an advantage, but not required
