• Development and deployment of a global material strategy for steel at Group level and derived action plans, clearly aligned and communicated with Divisions
• Identification of new suppliers and coordination of their development with the appropriate Divisional resources
• Coordination with local Procurement Teams and other functions in PDP, to ensure cost, quality and performance targets are met
• Support of serial delivery for all relevant divisions
• Realization of commodity improvement targets including savings, payment terms, working capital etc.
• Contract and risk management

Requirements

• Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or comparable qualifications
• Proven track record as a Lead Buyer, Head of cross-functional teams, or Sales in an industrial environment, preferably in the steel or automotive industry
• Having a success story in the European and/or US high carbon steel market is an advantage
• Exceptional skills in the areas of analytics, project and process management, self-organization, structuring and prioritization, assertiveness combined with the ability to work in a team, communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
