Job Title : Lead Aviation Mechanic (Hands-On Leadership Role)Company : Confidential (Specializing in King Air and Citation Aircraft)Location : Negotiable with Relocation Assistance AvailableSalary : $80,000 – $120,000 (Flexible based on experience)Job Description :We are seeking a seasoned Lead Aviation Mechanic with a strong background in hands-on mechanical work, particularly on King Air and Citation aircraft. This is a leadership position that blends mechanical expertise with team management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a veteran mechanic who enjoys working on the shop floor and can effectively balance practical, hands-on work with leadership duties.Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a small team of mechanics while working alongside them on the shop floor.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on King Air and Citation aircraft (approximately 50 King Air and 20 Citation inspections annually).
  • Take the lead on general aviation maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and performing run-ups on aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and aviation standards.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics, fostering an environment of growth and excellence.
  • Coordinate with management on resource allocation, scheduling, and workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.

Requirements :

  • A&P Certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a hands-on mechanical capacity with extensive mechanical experience on King Air, Beechcraft, and Citation aircraft.
  • Run qualified on King Air and Citation aircraft is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work directly on the shop floor, turning wrenches while leading a team.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to balance hands-on work with team management.
  • Commitment to long-term career development within the aviation industry.

Work Schedule :

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
  • Overtime is not regularly expected but may occasionally be required based on workload.
