Under general supervision, the licensed clinical social worker provides all aspects of psychosocial services including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, case management, and brief individual and group therapy in the Outpatient Psychiatry Services- La Jolla. Interviews patients and facilitates discussion around diagnosis and treatment planning. Provides case coordination, client advocacy, and brokerage to obtain services as needed.

Facilitate integration of patient’s care with primary care providers. Provide brief problem-focused individual therapy, facilitate therapy groups to be delivered to patients with ongoing mental health needs and those who require bridge-care services while waiting for access to specialty services. Serve as liaison with other Division providers. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team.

• A Master’s Degree in related area.

• LCSW issued by the State of California.

• A minimum of three (3) years post MSW experience.

• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

• Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Job offer is contingent on successful engagement in the UC COVID-19 Vaccination program (fully vaccinated with documented proof or approved exception/deferral).

If applicable, life-support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.) must include hands-on practice and in-person skills assessment; online-only certification is not acceptable.
