The Faculty of Science and Technology are seeking a Laboratory Manager to join their collegiate, collaborative team. Operating under the broad direction of the Academic Laboratory Head, you will be responsible for biosafety compliance, workplace health and safety, and gene technology requirements. You will use cellular and molecular techniques in a hands-on environment and provide high level technical advice to all relevant Biomedical Science laboratory stakeholders, including supervising undergraduate research students.
Our ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, leadership experience and a passion to drive their workload while seldom working autonomously. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has been building their leadership skills and is looking for their next step up into a leadership role.
An understanding of PC2 Laboratories is essential to this position. Experience in working in PC2 Laboratories is highly desirable.
This role is currently a part-time opportunity however full-time hours may be considered in the future.
