Hiring Unit:
Department of Biology (Professor J. Sakata)
Position Summary:
- Animal care husbandry.
- Participate in experiments investigating vocal communication in songbirds;
- Assist in data collection for focal experiments, data entry, and database management;
- Animal Care and to some degree histology and microscopy.
- Maintains lab work area in a clean and orderly fashion, including the washing of dishes.
- Most tasks require the individual to be present in the lab but some functions can be done remotely.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Experience with live animals; Consistent schedule; Able to work in teams;
Experience and education: Must be approved in the Work Study Program Fall 2022/Winter 2023. Background in biology, neuroscience, or psychology would be
