Job Summary

The Piao lab has pioneered the field of adhesion G protein-coupled receptor signaling in nervous system development. As a result, you will have the opportunity to build a diverse range of skill sets from working with cutting-edge technology and being a partner in the Piao lab. The Laboratory Assistant I will perform operational level work under supervision in the research laboratory. Tasks include: preparing standardized media, reagents and solutions from formulas for, research use; setting up routine PCR reactions; and keeping laboratory facilities clean and sanitary.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
