Kiva is an international nonprofit operating in over 70 countries with a mission of expanding financial access and helping underserved communities thrive. We achieve this by crowdfunding loans on kiva.org for entrepreneurs, smallholder farmers, students, and more individuals while tackling the barriers to financial access globally through innovative projects and partnerships. We blend the agility of a tech start-up with the compassion of a nonprofit to drive impact and create opportunities at a global scale. With 100+ employees and 400+ volunteers located around the world, we’re growing as we seize new opportunities to build a more financially inclusive world.

Kiva Volunteers come from many different backgrounds, ranging from graduate students to retired professionals. All loan review is done online, making it easy to work from anywhere—whether it’s your dorm room, a hotel, or your favorite coffee shop!
