Junior Process Engineer in Calgary, Alberta

The Opportunity:

WSP Oil and Gas Division is hiring Junior Process Engineer to work in the Calgary’s Center of Excellence on projects in the oil and gas industry and energy transition markets. You will be part of our growing team, using your skills as an Engineer to design facilities across Canada and globally.

As a Junior Process Engineer you will be mentored by senior engineer to develop skills in problem solving, facility design and drawing development.

What you can expect to do here:

You’ll be using your expertise to collaborate with different disciplines at WSP and provide expertise and client deliverables on projects. Day to day activities that will be completed with the guidance of a more senior process engineer include,

  • Process Simulations

  • Equipment Sizing / Data Sheets

  • Line Sizing Calculations

  • Instrument Data Sheets

  • PFD Development

  • P&ID Markups

  • Process Studies

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • University or equivalent education or experience in Chemical Engineering

  • Enjoy working in a team environment in a supporting role to develop your skills.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Be organized and complete tasks with a focus on quality, schedule and budget.
