Journeyman Electrician (On-Call Casual)

Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking on-call casual Red Seal Journeyman Electricians to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton, AB.

The Journeyman Electricians are responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of electrical systems

The successful candidate must be willing to respond to casual work for shifts from Monday to Sunday between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Responsibilities:

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
• Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment
• Provide input to the Maintenance Supervisor for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
• Install conduit, cables, panels, lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment
• Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Strong commercial and residential experience
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read drawings and schematics
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
