Pay Grade/Pay Range:  57 Hourly (non-exempt) – Minimum – $ 17.35 Midpoint – $ 25.33

Normal Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some nights & weekends required

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, the IT Technician IV performs basic professional IT assignments. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of IT principles, practices and procedures, including hardware, software and networks, with in-depth knowledge and skill in at least one area of specialization. Ability to troubleshoot both standard and non-standard issues. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

Additional Department Summary: The IT Technician IV serves a variety of technology functions often combined with customer interfacing and critical implementation deadlines to ensure smooth dining operations and appropriate guest satisfaction. Assures quality for daily operations for Dining Services point-of-sale activities.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree or higher and one (1) year of IT experience. Knowledge of basic programming, networking, or system skills. May require intermediate level training or certification. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently, on timelines, and within multiple system applications and hardware requiring integrations. Ability to handle multi-tasking. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or technical degree.
