At
the University of
Vienna (with 15 faculties, 4 centers, around 188 fields of study,
approx. 9,700 employees and over 92,000 students), we work with a
diverse IT infrastructure for research and teaching and shape the
digital and open landscape for research in Austria. As part of the national project FAIR Data Austria, we are looking
for an IT system architect to develop an infrastructure for long-term
preservation of research-databases. In this position, you are
responsible for the design and development of the front-end systems of
the infrastructure. You will design the interface for the users to
preserve and re-use the databases. In addition to knowledge of web
development, a good feeling for usability is also important.

Your tasks
- Collect and analyze requirements for use cases in current
research projects
- Design and Development of Front-end-Systems
- Design of a framework for further open-source development
Your profile
- Advanced knowledge in software development (HTML, CSS and
JavaScript) and in design of user interfaces
- Knowledge of techniques for product designing and expertise
with the development of open-source software is an advantage
- Fluent in English
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Good communication skills and organizational abilities
- Relevant
university degree or HTL degree and at least 1 year of professional
experience or at least 2 years of professional experience
- Completed military service or civil service is mandatory

The actual salary including overpayment of at least € 3,100.00 (on a
full-time basis) is based on your qualifications and relevant work
