Essential Job Functions

  • Monitors and maintains assigned server(s) and applications and fine tunes system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems
  • Designs and implements system solutions based upon technological or client requirements
  • Documents systems per department guidelines
  • Manages and acts as a resource for system related projects
  • Provides client assistance per assignments from the help desk system, tracking and closing requests per department guidelines
  • Develops procedures for routine system administration
  • Researches industry best practices to continue to deliver quality products and services to customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree 
  • Moderate amount of experience working in IT systems administration or in other related work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in information technology
  • Experience supporting learning management systems, preferably Blackboard
  • Experience supporting student information systems
  • Experience with Kaltura, Blackboard Ally, SCORM
  • Experience developing and maintaining SQL database queries
