IT Security Architect

Job Summary:

 

Under general supervision, responsible for designing, implementing, and developing systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized users.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Monitors the daily operations of current security solutions, ensuring compliance to policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures necessary to maintain the department’s network security posture.
  • Execute IAM based advisory assessments to assess current state IAM implementations and make strategic and tactical recommendations based on threat modeling, risk profiles, and business drivers.
  • Define end-to-end Security Architecture to enable both Business and Technology teams to build collaborative solutions that use  Application Design, Integration Services, Data security, Hybrid or Cloud Native Architecture on-premise and Private/Public Cloud services.
  • Interfaces with end-user community to understand their security needs and assists with implementing procedures to enhance the security.
  • Provides management with status reports.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education:

     

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or IT is required.

     

    Experience:

     

    Four (4) years of IT security-related experience is required.

     

    Additional Licenses and Certifications:

     

    GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Certification is required.
