Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Applications Project Management Division. As an IT Project Manager (Senior IT Project Manager), you will acquire resources within and outside of the Bureau to complete projects. Projects assigned to this position to manage are of uncharacteristically broad scope and/or complexity and normally the Senior It Project Manager gives technical direction to multiple employees matrixed or detailed to support the project. Responsibilities The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As an IT Project Manager (Senior IT Project Manager), you will: Meet all project documentation requirements or procedures as outlined in BEP System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development Methodologies. Direct the identification of customers information system requirements by the integrated project team (IPT). Ensure the determination of appropriate products or services for the development of project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Direct the implementation of project plans to meet objectives and manages project resources. Oversee the analysis of program management, production and business processes and practices as part of the scope of assigned projects. The position requires the Senior-level certification of the Federal Acquisition Institute’s Federal Acquisition Certification Program and Project Managers (FAC-PPM) per BEP Policy. The incumbent shall have 36 months from hiring date to achieve the FAC-PPM Senior Level-IT Core Plus Certification. In addition, we require Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) training or certification. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-14 all candidates are required to have one year of Specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes: Providing IT technical advice and guidance to senior executives, management, and external subject matter experts in the areas of IT Project Management, systems analysis, and applications software; AND Leading an information technology (IT) project with members of teams from multiple organizations; AND Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes. For the GS-13 all candidates are required to have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes: Leading an information technology (IT) project with members of teams from multiple organizations; AND Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes. For the GS-12 all candidates are required to have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience as an information technology (IT) project manager; AND Partnering with customers to recommend enhancements or technical business solutions to improve operation efficiencies to existing IT processes. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
