Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Information Security Engineer to join our IT Security team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the architecture, planning, and design of robust Info Security processes and systems, supporting key functions such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). You will leverage your strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively identify, communicate, and resolve Info Security issues.
The perfect candidate for this role will possess a solid background in IT security, exceptional networking capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of information security risks, and a deep passion for the security field.
Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Deployment: Participate in the architecture, configuration, deployment, integration, and maintenance of Security Engineering solutions and applications.

Risk Management: Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, and related standards.

Technology Research: Engage in the research and identification of new and emerging technologies to enhance Windstream’s Info Security processes.
-
System Management: Assist in developing the Info Security architectural vision and lead the installation, configuration, and management of key Info Security systems.

Proof of Concept: Conduct proof of concept testing to identify and engineer new or emerging Info Security technologies for the benefit of Windstream.

Compliance Experience: Work with compliance and regulatory program requirements.

Security Solutions: Deploy and/or support security solutions.

Issue Resolution: Resolve issues related to identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions.

Access Control: Maintain a clear understanding of role-based access control, ensuring a “least privilege” level of access for all users.

IAM Support: Follow standard operating procedures to perform IAM pre and post-production support activities.

Automation: Focus on automation opportunities and improvements for certificate management.
-
Session Management: Implement, administer, and support privileged session management solutions and elevated systems access (CyberArk and Centrify).

System Administration: Manage Active Directory administration, Windows system security administration, and network, email, and application access management.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset with curiosity, critical thinking, and proactive solutions.

Product Delivery: Deliver products and services to enable effective Identity and Access Management throughout the organization.

Compliance Enforcement: Enforce compliance with IAM principles, including least privilege access, password management, audit logging, RBAC, certificate issuance, and revocation.
Required Skills and Experience:
-
College degree in a Technical or related field and 1-3 years of professional-level experience.

Experience in Unix Administration.

Familiarity with SSL Certificates.

Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) systems.
-
Proficiency in one or more areas: Identity Management, Access Management, Role-Based Access Control, User Access Certification, and Federation.

Experience with PowerShell and SQL queries.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
