Detailed Job Description
NOTE: This is a 14 – month temporary position.
Are you up to challenges and thrive
on an energetic and creative work environment; experienced in IT
Compliance? Within a highly interactive team environment, this position
will work closely with both functional and technical staff to implement controls
that will fulfill NAIT’s audit and assessment requirements. The Information and
Technology Services (ITS) department is looking for a professional with
excellent organizational, analytical and compliance skills. You are a
team player, with the right attitude to help create a winning team.
Key Responsibilities:
The role is multifaceted and has
compliance, process and administrative responsibilities The IT Compliance
Analyst will conducts activities in these areas.
Compliance
- Identify,
understand, continuously improve and document processes and procedures
surrounding IT internal controls - Plan and
perform testing of control design and effectiveness, document conclusions and
remediation on a daily/monthly/quarterly/annual basis - Coordinate
and participate Compliance walkthroughs and support the documentation process
and communication of findings to Governance Risk and Compliance Manager - Carry 3rd
party’s reviews (SOC and PCI report reviews) and provide recommendations - Manage and
monitor control deficiencies and corresponding remediation actions plans for
resolution and ongoing compliance - Participate
in internal and external audit processes and support the facilitation and
gathering of requested meetings and information
IT Process and Administration
- Review
requests and provision access to enterprise accounts - Maintain
process documentation for the provisioning of access to enterprise accounts - Coordinate
IT change requests, approvals and advisory meetings as needed. - Update
Configuration Management Database - IT Policy,
Procedure and Standard development - Participate
in special projects when needed
Skills & Abilities:
- High level
of professionalism, integrity and ethics - Ability to voice
opinions (supported by facts), escalate issues and ideas and able to positively
manage conflict - Communication
skills to interact with all levels of the institute’s organizational structure
Qualifications:
- Related
post-secondary degree or diploma - A minimum of
2 years’ experience in IT compliance including: - PCI
Assessments (PCIP is an asset) - Security and
general computing controls audits (ISACA Cybersecurity Audit Certificate is an
asset) - COBIT and
ITIL (Foundations Certificated is an asset) - GRC software
- IT Policy,
Procedure and Standard development is an asset
Remuneration: $2,717.63
– $3,600.28 bi-weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
