Summary of Duties:

The Education Technology Analyst with the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine performs information technology consulting, application administration, and technical support solutions for a large workgroup across WSU all locations. You will consult, design, program, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and/or provide technical support for applications, hardware and software products, support products, or telecommunications infrastructure, software or hardware.
Responsibilities include advancing Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine information technology strategies to meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and administration. Administers IT solutions to meet the mission and objectives required to deliver a personalized medical education experience. Develops and delivers technical documentation and effective training techniques which include the assessment and implementation of technology solutions to meet a wide range of user’s technical abilities and environments. Supports academic sessions and college events. Provides technical support for a variety of end-user requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field; OR equivalent education and experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to clearly communicate current workload, projects, and availability for resource management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year professional work experience within the field of information technology.
  • Experience supporting applications such as Slack, Zoom, Panopto, Workday, and learning management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with system development life cycle and project management principles.
  • Skills performing system analysis and design in an information technology environment.
  • Experience with business intelligence and analysis.
  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supporting the creation of multimedia instructional content.
  • Experience testing, implementing, administering, and providing technical support for educational applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with great attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with videoconferencing production equipment.
  • Experience providing technical support for multimedia classrooms.

Monthly Salary: Range 03IT, $5,499 – $7,218–Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
