Scope of Position/Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing health care services to cardiac surgery patients. Enhances and expands the patient care within the medical practice. Collaborates with a physician (s) & other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care. Focus is on preventive health or the management of stable chronic conditions. Supervised by a practicing licensed physician. Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized & directed by the supervising physician as indicated in the Standard Care Agreement.
Minimum Education Required
Master’s Level Degree
 

Required Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Masters Physician Assistant program, licensed and holds National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification. Eligibility for State of Ohio Licensure as a Physician Assistant, and ability to prescribe in the State of Ohio.
OR

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner ProgramMaster’s Degree in Nursing required.  Current license as a registered nurse in Ohio, current license and Certificate of Authority to practice an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio; Board Certified by ANCC
