Working closely with top-tier customers and academic partners, you’ll lead the industrialization of trapped-ion quantum processors. Your new responsibilities include driving the development of cutting-edge ion trap chips and advancing their integration into quantum processing units (QPUs).In your new job you will:

• Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processor s, with focus on photonic interfaces
• Co-develop the next generations of QPUs with our commercial partners
• Enable the research community through projects with academic partners
• Supervise master and PhD students

ProfileYou are a proactive individual with a passion for new technologies, and are eager to join us on our quest to create a more sustainable future for everyone. You further define yourself through clear communication, and team player qualities.To thrive on your quantum adventure, you should:

• Be a highly motivated individual who wants quantum computing to become a reality
• Have a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, computational physics or similar
• Bring 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing
• Be fluent in English, German skills or the willingness to learn is a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification.
