Project Associate will assist in the coordination and implementation of the activities of the project Right Care: Embedding a Child Rights Perspective in National Psychosocial Support Systems to Migrant Children (Right Care). This position is part-time (80% FTE).
Assist in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities in line with project work plans and timelines.
Support the collection, compilation, organization, and basic analysis of project-related data and information, with attention to accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data protection principles.
Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and updating of key project documents, including work plans, monitoring tools, and reporting materials.
Assist in drafting and updating project reports, briefing notes, presentations, and other documentation.
Assist in the organization and provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, trainings, focus groups, and events, including preparing agendas, drafting minutes, and supporting follow-up actions.
Assist in project communication and dissemination activities, including drafting, editing, and compiling relevant information and visibility materials.
Assist with liaison and coordination with implementing partners in the implementation of project activities and report any issues to the supervisor.
Draft routine correspondence on project issues and respond to complex information requests and inquiries.
Perform duty travel, participate in field activities and official meetings as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience in project support and/or coordination and implementation.
Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national institutions and non-governmental organizations;
Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
Experience supporting administrative coordination of projects involving child protection and psychosocial support;
Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
Strong work ethics, interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural setting;
Good organizational skills, attention to detail , ability to work in dynamic circumstances;
Excellent command of office tools, including Microsoft package, shared drives, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software;
Languages
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM’s official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in Lithuanian and English is required (oral and written).
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

This position is part-time (80% FTE), with a working schedule of 32 hours per week across four full working days (Monday–Thursday).

In accordance with the UN Salary Scale, the monthly base salary for this position (G5/1), 80 % working percentage is 1458 EUR, with an estimated net take‑home pay of approximately 1258 EUR. IOM salaries are exempt from income tax.
