INVENTION EDUCATION LEARNING AND CURRICULUM SPECIALIST, Lemelson-MIT Program (LMIT), to join a national leader in efforts to prepare the next generation of inventors and entrepreneurs.  Will work under the direct supervision of the faculty and executive directors and assist with program evaluation studies and research related to LMIT’s educational initiatives. Studies will inform the initial development and ongoing improvement of programs and curricula to support students on the pathway to Invention.  Responsibilities include assisting with research and/or program evaluation studies of LMIT’s invention education initiatives, administration of LMIT’s Student Research Fellows Program, analysis and reporting, and a variety of other duties.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  Ph.D. in education or a STEM-related field; at least three years of academic experience in at least one of the following areas–academic assessment with specialized knowledge of quantitative and qualitative educational research methodologies, or educational curriculum design and development and pedagogical support; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  PREFERRED:  experience with ethnography and/or narrative research methods, and familiarity with invention education or experience as an educator within K12 or community colleges.  Job #21826-8
