We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the Community of Practice on Circular Economy Sector to provide operational support to the budget unit, specifically in relation to carrying out day-to-day activities of the budget unit.

The assignment will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct research in thematic priority areas, as determined collaboratively by the manager and the intern (e.g., global strategies for addressing plastic pollution prevention).
  • Compile evidence-based best practices, lessons learned, and experiences within key developmental focus areas (e.g., case studies on carbon financing in the circular economy sector).
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for seminars, workshops, and conferences organized by the GGGI Program, as applicable.


  • Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application meet the following requirements:
  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
  • Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work.
  • Possess an excellent command of English.


  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
  • Relevant research experience in the development of circular economy practices would be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated through a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications is essential. Proficiency in additional software, such as graphic design and AI-based applications, would be advantageous.
