About the Role: 

Reporting to the Director, this position is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of new international memorandums of understandings and agreements and provide support to the various units that intersect with the partnership. This role provides a lead in managing, organizing, and hosting international delegation visit requests and documenting critical international partnership activity. In this role you will serve as a strong connection between Brock International and other internal units that intersect with mobility, transfer pathways and visiting scholars. Externally, you will often be the primary contact for Brock’s perspective international partners. 

As the International Partnerships Coordinator, you will: 

  • Develop and lead Brock International’s internal business process and resources for reviewing new international partnership requests; the renewal process; international transfer pathway development; 
  • Represent Brock International on internal and external committees and working groups as required along with responding to partnership visit requests, and coordinate visiting delegation visits (i.e., creating agenda, initiating, and confirming host meetings, etc.); 
  • Develop, in consultation with the Director, a rubric to evaluate international partnerships (prospective and current) to assist with determining priority partners and to further determine credibility and partnership feasibility; 
  • Facilitate and develop academic pathways to understand education for international college and University transfer students to Brock; 
  • Work closely with the Office of the Vice-Provost & AVP, Academic and the Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Services to support the formal governance process, and to ensure the academic units are aware of all levels of approval/process flow in getting international academic agreements officially implemented (i.e., articulation; joint; collaborate, etc.); 
  • Work closely with international post-secondary partners to provide a high level of partnership maintenance and ensure that international partnership development aligns with institutional strategic goals; 
  • Determine barriers and complications of a proposed international transfer agreement affecting the successful transition of incoming students, and make appropriate suggestions; 
  • Consult with Admissions that transfer credit mapping and the Brock system) remains up-to-date and liaison with Faculty contacts for current equivalencies; 
  • Research competitor information and conduct ongoing research regarding international transfer policy and process. 

Key Skills and Experience: 

  • Honours bachelor’s degree 
  • Post-graduate courses/experience 
  • Experience in academic advising, program development and/or partnership development/maintenance in a post-secondary environment. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of diverse international education systems and understanding current trends that support international transfer to post-secondary education. 
  • Knowledge of University policies/procedures, program requirements, with a proven ability to remain current in order to serve as an effective resource. 
  • Proven ability to deal with sensitive and complex situations, ensuring confidentiality and remain focused in a high-volume environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, customer service, relationship building, and communication skills. 
  • Awareness of best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion when working with students from diverse populations. 
  • Proven ability to assess requests in a timely and accurate manner in a busy environment with a high volume of work and shifting priorities. 
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision making, organizational, time management and administrative skills. 

Salary and Total Rewards: 

  • Job Grade L, Salary Scale ($); $62,580 – $107,280 
  • Target Hiring Range: $62,580 – $66,500 
  • This is a permanent position that includes:

  • Pension Plan: Enrollment eligibility in the Brock University Pension Plan. 
  • Vacation: Up to 3 weeks per year, in addition to university holidays.
