If you share our passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly environment, we would love to hear from you.
Over the last 24 months the University of Lincoln has welcomed record numbers of students from around the world. To help us build on this success and to support the delivery of our ambitious internationalisation objectives, we are seeking to appoint an International Operations Manager.
The post holder will become part of our rapidly expanding International Office. The role of the International Office is to support the University in achieving its internationalisation ambitions and the achievement of student recruitment targets.
Working in close partnership with the Director of International, the International Operations Manager will be expected to lead the administrative function within the department, and to ensure its output is aligned with University policies and objectives.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and overseeing the department’s standard operating procedures and policies. This will include managing contracts and agreements with external stakeholders and suppliers, health and safety compliance, travel planning and approvals, and the onboarding and induction of staff members. The post holder will also be expected to oversee the department’s non-pay budget, manage annual leave requests and the recording of absences, and team member training and development.
Collegiate working will be key to this role as the post holder will be expected to build positive working relationships with members of the University community and beyond. This will include regular engagement with professional service staff, overseas representatives and external service providers. The post holder will also be expected to line manage members of staff within the department and to provide appropriate training and support.
Given the nature of this role, there may be occasions where the post holder will be expected to work unsociable hours, to include evenings and weekends. The post holder may also be expected, on occasions, to take part in conferences and events across the UK and internationally.
Experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, and we welcome applications from candidates from a variety of backgrounds and professions.
