Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive Internal Communications Officer to enhance our internal communications initiatives and ensure alignment with our Global Marketing and Communications Strategy. This role is essential for managing, curating, and facilitating internal content and events, contributing to a cohesive and informed organisational culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about keeping all staff informed and inspired, with a knack for innovating new ways for our global team to connect.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication Implementation:
-Assist in the development and execution of the internal communications strategy.
-Ensure alignment with the Global Marcoms strategy to boost employee engagement and organisational unity.
Content Management and Curation:
-Oversee internal communication channels, ensuring timely and relevant communication across the organisation.
-Engage in copyediting, proofreading, and formatting internal documents to maintain high communication standards.
Event and Administrative Management:
-Organise and facilitate internal online events, enhancing staff interaction and engagement.
-Manage administrative duties within the Marketing and Communications team to support efficient operations.
Collaboration and Coordination:
-Work closely with the communications team to maintain and update the internal communications calendar, ensuring a consistent and coherent approach across all internal messages.
-Collaborate with Human Resources to provide communications support for internal reports and other HR-related communications needs.
-Liaise with various stakeholders across the organisation to gather information and coordinate communications, ensuring coherence and accuracy in messaging.
Culture Champion:
-Lead initiatives to build and enhance company culture, proposing new activities that create a positive and engaging work environment for all staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
-3-5 years of proven experience in communications or public relations, preferably within a humanitarian or international development context.
-Strong skills in copyediting, proofreading, and formatting of professional documents.
-Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, capable of crafting clear, concise, and logical prose.
-Excellent organisational and event management skills, including proficiency in organising and running large-scale virtual events using Microsoft Teams.
-Proficient in digital communication platforms and tools, with specific expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint highly regarded.
