Interactions and trade-off between Principles and Regulations in Responsible AI.

The field of responsible AI has been concerned with, among other things, governance and regulation within organisations. There are countless sets of principles and guidelines issued by companies, foundations and governments to support responsible development of AI systems, and an increasing focus on regulation, but there is little that has considered the ecosystem that arises from the interactions of different principles and regulations. 

This project aims to understand how different principles and regulations influence each other, and investigate the best strategy to interact different principles and regulations and balance their trade-offs. The project will involve a critical literature review and analysis into the landscape of responsible AI guidances and principles, and will likely involve qualitative studies as well as computational simulations and technical developments.
