This full-time non-tenure track position includes research in Gastrointestinal Cell Biology. Experience in gastrointestinal disease models, particularly, tight junction and barrier dysfunction-associated diseases. Performing experiments in cell culture, organoid and mouse models, training students and fellows, and laboratory management.  Responsibilities include executing the cell culture, organoid, and animal experimentations, training and supervising fellows and students, and managing laboratory maintenance (including purchasing, storage, and inventory of reagents, cells, and supplies).

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. and a minimum of three years post-doctoral experience or equivalent.

Strong background in intestinal epithelial tight junction biology is a primary required skill. Experience with handling mouse models of the gastrointestinal physiology and pathophysiology models; experimentations in cell culture of intestinal epithelium, tight junction biology, intestinal organoids, gut microbiome, cellular and molecular biology, and mice are required. Proven experience in data processing and manuscript preparation are essential.
