The Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, has a 1.0 full time Faculty Position available for a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner within the Section of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. We are looking for a provider with at least two years of OB/GYN clinical experience. The position combines a 0.9 clinical FTE providing outpatient, and potentially inpatient gynecologic consultative services with 0.1 administrative/academic FTE.
We are looking for a faculty member to provide care exclusively at Children’s Hospital Colorado, in our ambulatory setting, seeing patients age newborn to young adult. These services are not limited to, but include routine care, counseling and management of heavy and irregular menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea, sexually transmitted disease screening, and contraceptive care, with expectations that the faculty member is trained in the placement of long-acting reversible contraceptives (both IUDs and implants). Additional mentoring will be provided to the hired faculty member to provide routine pediatric gynecologic care. Experience with Adolescent patients is desired. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will effectively engage with our diverse students, faculty, and staff to create and foster an inclusive learning and working environment.
The faculty member will also be expected to participate in daytime consultation services for the emergency room and inpatient services as a member of the Group. Position is primarily focused on clinical duties, but may include some responsibilities for teaching residents.
Selected candidate must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner, licensed in the State of Colorado. Priority will be given to a candidate who has focused their practice in women’s health.
Duties :
- Clinical duties include providing gynecologic care to pediatric and adolescent patients in the outpatient setting.
- Inpatient duties may include providing consultative services to the Emergency Department and inpatients on other service lines.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
- Participate in research, as desired.

Instructor: $100,172.80 – $105,102.40
Senior Instructor: $110,260.80 – $114,462.40
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Nurse Practitioner
- MSN required from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure by a national professional organization.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado
- Admission to the Advanced Practice Registry of the Colorado Board of Nursing
- Prescriptive authority required.
- One (1) or more years clinical experience in practice as a NP in Obstetrical/Gynecological care
Senior Instructor
Nurse Practitioner
