Instructor of Developmental Studies

The Office of Developmental Studies at The University of Mississippi invites applications for an Instructor of Developmental Studies to teach intermediate mathematics courses for students not yet prepared to take college level mathematics coursework.
This full-time position requires a master’s degree OR a minimum of 18 hours of graduate-level mathematics coursework. Preferred candidates will also have college-level teaching experience.

Responsibilities include:
Teaching intermediate mathematics courses
Advising and mentoring students within the developmental studies program
Developing assignments, creating assessments, and actively supporting student learning
Writing and proctoring examinations
Providing feedback and instruction for examinations and assignments
Calculating and posting mid-term and final grades
Performing service appropriate to the position
Other duties as assigned
