Position Overview

Position Summary:

The Department of Biology at Eastern New Mexico University seeks a ¾-time, non -tenure-track Instructor of Biology.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach 9 credit hours per semester in areas of general biology for both general education and biology majors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

MS in Biology or closely related field. ABD/Ph.D. degree in Biology or closely related field preferred. Teaching experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the field of Biology as it relates to both the education of students majoring in the field, and students who are taking general education.
  • Knowledge of assessment.
  • Experience with (or strong interest in) distance/hybrid science education.
Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

•Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
