Job Description:
The Animal Science department at SUNY Cobleskill is seeking an Instructor/Lecturer with a proven record of excellence in teaching, mentorship, and advisement of diverse undergraduate students. The successful candidate is expected to teach an array of courses related to meat production, animal harvesting, carcass evaluation and fabrication, and food safety. The incumbent will be involved in student advisement, program assessment, curriculum development and revision, as well as departmental, institutional, and community service. This is a 10-month teaching position.
Sample classes may include, but are not limited to:
- ANSC 107: Meat Products
- ANSC 113: Meat Processing Techniques
- ANSC 109: Meat Animal Slaughtering
Requirements:
- 10 years of specialized experience related to the meat industry
- A proven track record of outstanding experience as an instructor, mentor and advisor.
Additional Information:
- This position has a salary range of $50,000 – $52,000.
- This is a tenure track, 10-month appointment.
- Start Fall 2023 Semester.
