JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Learning and Performance Systems at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) seeks part-time instructors through Summer 2022 to teach courses online for classes in Learning, Design, and Technology (LDT).
Candidates should possess:
· A strong background and demonstrated evidence of teaching in online environments
· Familiarity with Penn State University Canvas software, course management systems (CMS), and knowledge of mobile technologies as learning tools
A graduate degree related to Educational Technology or Learning, Design, and Technology is required. Prior teaching experience and facility with instructional design is required.
The successful candidates will be primarily responsible for:
· Teaching an online course, which will involve monitoring and leading students’ online discussions
· Responding to student requests
· Grading and adjusting pedagogical design to suit the students’ needs
The candidates will collaborate with faculty members in the LDT program.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
