Job Summary 
The School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi is seeking applications for a Instructor in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. The position will be based at the university’s main campus in Hattiesburg.  

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Teaches twelve hours of undergraduate courses in the computer science, computer engineering, and/or information technology disciplines
  •   Engages in service to the School of Computing Sciences & Computer Engineering
  •   Communicates any concerns or issues with the program coordinator or school director
  •   Follows the policies and procedures of the School of Computing Sciences and Computer Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences and the University including maintaining office hours and being responsive to student communications
  •   Perform other duties as assigned
  • Minimum Qualifications  
    Masters degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    Preferred Qualifications
     
    Experience teaching at the college level.
