| Job Description: | The position collaborates with dental faculty through all phases of course design and development to ensure that courses align with evidence-based pedagogy and integrate technologies to support active learning. The Instructional Designer I engages with design of hybrid & online courses in the Learning Management System, as well as with in-person active learning sessions (Simulation Labs, Team-based Learning, and Interprofessional Experiences) with a focus on the first two years of the dental curriculum. Designs online, hybrid and active learning experiences for the College of Dentistry DMD Program through course planning and collaboration with faculty subject matter experts.
Actively engages in course production including the development of online, hybrid, and active learning sessions.
Evaluates & assesses course quality and alignment of course outcomes with course learning goals. Promotes iterative improvement.
Implements courses and provides support to faculty and students during the semester.
Actively Supports the Office of Academic Affairs, by cross training with other staff members for back up, and will perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor. |
| Expected Salary: | $45,600 – $47,000 • After an initial training period the candidate may become eligible for more flexible, hybrid work schedules including the possibility of a remote work day. | Minimum Requirements: | Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience. |
