INDUSTRY EDUCATION SPECIALIST:
$72,479.17 – $83,518.06 Annually
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Research and Education, the Industry Education Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating education offerings and learning events for residential industry and consumers pursuant to the Homeowner Protection Act. He/She/They ensures the quality of the education offerings designed under adult education principles and advances best practices based on evidence-based research. The position provides guidance on the focus of learning development and delivery through the development of sector relationships, consultation with stakeholders, and use of the knowledge of colleagues in the Research Centre and Licensing and Consumer Services branches. The position develops and facilitates learning opportunities through a-learning and/or in-person, and guides stakeholders in the development and facilitation of learning opportunities. The position is also responsible for the administration of the Building Excellence Research and Education Grants, a combined endeavour between the Research Centre and Licensing and Consumer Services.
