Work Schedule 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and hours required in conjunction with events. There may be additional hours occasionally required to support events and peak activity during the semester.
Primary Purpose of Position The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the Program Manager for the Industrial Solutions Laboratory in the Lee College of Engineering reporting to the ISL Director. The ISL Program Manager oversees the business side of the Senior Design Program and all of the Industry relationships in the Program. The ISL Program Manager will supervise all SHRA positions in ISL
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Reports to the Director of the Industrial Solutions Lab (ISL), and serves as the ISL Program Manager supporting the Program Director.
  • Manages the business side of the Engineering Senior Design Program and all of the Industry relationships in the Program.
  • Provides a service to Faculty for consulting engagements.
  • Purchasing for student design projects, reconcile all department purchases and expenses, invoice industry partners, execute 4 events per year and support delegated tasks from the Director.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • Support Office of Student Development and Success (OSDS) and College of Engineering procedures and co-operation.
  • Support OSDS events such as SOAR and Engineering Picnic as needed in order to foster co-operative support for ISL activities that need this type of co-operative support.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar experience.
  • Experience in a finance/accounting/purchasing/office work capacity , a minimum of five – seven (5-7) years of is preferred.
  • Experience in the base of accounting, finance, purchasing procedures and Microsoft Office Suite Tools.
  • Experience and Technical Knowledge in the Engineering field would be a plus.
  • Ability, interest and passion for teamwork and customer service.
  • Experience in event planning and execution would be helpful. This position will plan 2 events each semester with guests, food and large room reservations.
  • Experience in handling delegated tasks and supporting executive program vision.
