CQUniversity is seeking an Indigenous Scholarships Officer to support students seeking advice and information about scholarships, bursaries and financial assistance available through the University. You will support the University’s goals in continuing to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in relation to their access, participation and completion of qualifications at CQUniversity.

Position Requirements

 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the needs of a culturally diverse university community.
  • Knowledge of ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of CQUniversity policies, procedures and current legislation relevant to the higher education sector.
  • Proven time management and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team-based work environment in order to achieve set targets.
  •   You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
