Description

Identity Management at Temple University is looking for a self-motivated technical candidate to help maintain the daily operation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and processes, with supervision. The IAM team works on a broad set of technologies, and the successful candidate would have interest in one or more of these areas:
1. Authentication and Authorization technologies, such as SAML/CAS/OIDC; Kerberos; Grouper; RADIUS.
2. Data storage and aggregation technologies, such as OpenLDAP; AD; PostgreSQL; MySQL; Oracle and in particular The Banner ERP system.
3. IAM full-stack application development and deployment, primarily in NodeJS or Perl, in a microservice or containerized environment. 
The OIAM Specialist 1 must have strong communications skills and should be interested in working in a collaborative learning environment with rapidly changing priorities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of directly related IT experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to adapt to change, solve problems creatively, and communicate effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies – this role requires a problem solver with a motivated personality.
* Learn to write code in one or more of the following: SQL, PL/SQL, PHP, Java, JSP, JavaScript, Perl, Unix Shell Scripting, NodeJS
* Ability to use Linux command line.
* An interest in Microservice programming, Kubernetes service management.
* Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as necessary.

This position requires a background check.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
