We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Collections Agent. As a Collections Agent, you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts, negotiate payment arrangements, and maintain accurate records of interactions.

Start Date: September 27, 2024

Work Model: Hybird (combination of in-office and remote work)

Office Location: 55 Mulcaster Street, Barrie, ON

Responsibilities 

• Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect overdue payments
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve outstanding debts
• Document all customer interactions and payment arrangements accurately in the system
• Follow up with customers to ensure payment agreements are upheld
• Collaborate with other team members to develop strategies for improving collection efforts
• Provide excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and regulations

Requirements:

• Full-time opportunity
• Required availability: Monday – Friday 9am – 8pm w/ a Rotating Saturday 9:30 am – 6pm with a flex off day that same week
• Training completed onsite – minimum 1 month
• Hybrid work model after training is complete
• No extended time off or vacation within the first 6 months of employment
• Training (3 weeks) Monday – Friday 9:00 am-5:30 pm

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in a customer service is required
• Previous experience in finance or call center environment is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
